On Friday, September 27, 2024, at 8 PM, the showcase of the play “Doghouse” was held on the Arterarij stage in Zagreb. This was also the premiere of the play, performed by Anita Matić Delić, Dušan Gojić, Jelena Graovac Lučev, Nikola Nedić, and Davor Tarbuk, directed by Roman Nikolić.
Around 40 people attended the premiere, making them the first audience to see the play, which is based on true stories of wartime sexual violence during the wars in the former Yugoslavia. After the showcase, a feedback session was organized with part of the audience to gather impressions and provide guidance for the final preparation phase for the Festival of Otherness, where the play will be performed in Zagreb, Belgrade, and Paris, along with two other plays by partners from Serbia and France.
The showcase was also attended by theater director Juan Miranda from France, who concluded his artistic residency in Zagreb with this showcase. The premiere received significant attention in Croatian media, with many announcements, and a notable article by renowned Croatian publicist Miljenko Jergović was published after the premiere.
