Artistic director and director Romano Nikolić stayed in Paris from July 12 to 15 at the invitation of the renowned artistic organization El Vaïvén as part of the Creative Europe’s project “Eclectic of Otherness”. The purpose of his residency in Paris was to visit the rehearsals of El Vaïvén and to follow the process of creating their play “The Rabbit House,” as well as to exchange experiences related to the working process and collaboration in socially engaged theater that addresses the issues of contemporary migration through the play in development. Nikolić also represented the artistic organization Arterarij, which is a partner (and representative of Croatia) in the Creative Europe project, alongside the Serbian artistic organization Heartefact.
The project “Eclectic of Otherness” emphasizes the importance of diversity and inclusion in the arts, and Nikolić’s involvement further contributes to strengthening international cooperation and creative exchange. As part of this project, colleagues from France and Serbia will be in Zagreb in September, where they will attend rehearsals of the artistic organization Arterarij, which is also in the process of creating a play as part of this project titled “Dog House.”
